There is a strange odor coming from the unit.
Don't worry. Sometimes when the unit is new, the materials from the filter can "outgas" when they are first opened. Leave the unit running for a day or so and it should clear up.
If you are concerned about this, leave the unit running on high in a separate room during this period...it should clear up overnight.

I hear a "buzzing" sound when unit is on.
Sometimes when the room is very quite, you may hear a slight buzz or "electric hum" from the PlasmaWaveTM generator inside of the unit.
This is nothing to worry about. Because the PlasmaWaveTM generator uses electricity to create a strong corona discharge it may make a slight noise. It's working properly to clean the air.
